Your body changed. Nobody explained why.
- Weight shifting to your midsection with the same habits
- Energy, sleep, or focus that feels different
- Labs came back “normal,” but you don’t feel normal
The scale can’t show where your weight lives, and routine labs don’t measure your fitness or your metabolism. One visit at Peak does, with DEXA, VO2 max, and resting metabolic rate testing reviewed with you by our physician-led team.

Most people who come in for metabolic testing aren’t athletes. They want an answer instead of another guess, and “eat less, move more” hasn’t been it.

You don’t have to keep guessing. One visit gives you real numbers.
Book My Metabolic TestA scale and a BMI chart can’t tell fat from muscle, can’t show the visceral fat around your organs, and can’t tell you how many calories you actually burn. Two people with the same weight can have very different health pictures.
Visceral fat, muscle mass, and cardiorespiratory fitness are each linked to long-term metabolic and heart health in the research. Measuring them gives you and our team a real baseline to work from.
DEXA measures body composition and bone. Indirect calorimetry measures resting metabolic rate. VO2 max testing measures the oxygen you use as exercise gets harder.
Every test is performed at our Meridian clinic. You leave with real numbers and a clear conversation about what they mean for you.

Go beyond the scale. See how much fat and lean muscle you carry, where it’s stored, and how your bone density looks.

Body composition, fitness, and metabolism measured together, so nutrition and training decisions start from your own numbers.

Find out how much work your heart and lungs can really do, and how many calories your body burns at rest.
Not sure which test is right for you? Choose “Help me decide” in the form, or call 208-683-7325.
01Pick your test and tell us a little about your goals. Our team confirms your time and sends what you need to know before you arrive.
02Testing happens at our Meridian clinic, with our team guiding every step. Wear comfortable workout clothes. We’ll send prep instructions for your specific test.
03No printout and a wave goodbye. We walk through your numbers and what they mean for your goals: hormones, weight, performance, or something else entirely.
04Some people leave with a clear plan and nothing else. Some find there’s more we can help with. Either way, you’ll know more than when you walked in.
“Everyone was so kind and helpful. I did an à la cart dexa scan and the nurse was fantastic! I’ll be back!!!”
“Excellent place! Great staff that were very friendly and made me feel really comfortable and appreciated. Doctor Eric is really smart and personable, and made the experience awesome. Highly recommend Peak!”
Tell us which test you’re interested in and the best way to reach you. A member of our team will contact you to confirm a time that works.

Peak Personalized Healthcare is a physician-led longevity and metabolic health clinic in Meridian. Every protocol and recommendation is grounded in clinical evidence, not whatever is trending online.
Dr. Eric Lyall spent years in emergency medicine seeing the consequences of metabolic disease that had been building for decades. He built Peak around a simple idea: measure first, then build a plan around the person, with the same care he’d want for his own family.
“Measure first. Prescribe second.”

Still have a question? Our team is happy to help you choose the right test.
No. You can book directly. If your results raise something we want to look at more closely, we’ll walk you through next steps.
These tests are cash-pay; we don’t bill insurance. Many HSA and FSA plans do reimburse them. We provide itemized receipts, so check with your plan administrator to confirm what your account covers.
Most single-test visits take under an hour, including time to go over your results. We’ll confirm the timing for your specific test when we schedule you.
Wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes. Some tests have simple instructions about food, caffeine, or exercise beforehand. We’ll send exactly what to do for your test when we confirm your appointment.
DEXA uses a very low dose of X-ray, much lower than a standard chest X-ray. Please tell us if you are or might be pregnant. DEXA isn’t done during pregnancy.
Absolutely. Most of our metabolic testing patients aren’t athletes. They want to understand what’s happening with their weight, their energy, or their hormones, and they want a clinical answer instead of a guess.
No. You get your numbers and a real conversation. If there are ways we can help you further, we’ll mention them. If you just wanted the data, that’s completely fine too. Our goal is to be a healthcare partner you actually want to work with.
